August-September 2015

Welcome back to school! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. I am looking forward to another exciting year together!

I invite you to attend our Annual Back to school Bash and Meet the Teacher event next Tuesday, August 18th from 5:30-7.  Please visit the cafeteria first to find out who your child's teacher is, pick up car rider cards that must be displayed on the first day of school for afternoon pickup, visit school and community info booths and eat a free hot dog dinner sponsored by our PTO.  Afterwards, you will be able to visit your child's classroom and meet the teacher.

School hours have changed this year.  The school day will be 7:45-2:15.  Students must be in class by 7:45 or will be considered tardy. You may begin dropping off students in the car loop area only at 7:15 when supervision begins.

All students will receive a free breakfast and K-2 will eat in their classrooms beginning at 7:30. PreK students will eat in the cafeteria.

1st and 2nd grade parents may walk their child to class on the first 1-2 days of school. PreK and Kindergarten parents may walk them to class the first 2 weeks of school.  Beyond these days, for the safety of all students, they will need to be dropped off in the car loop.  Under special circumstances, parents must sign in in the front office with identification to receive and wear a visitor's pass to be on campus.

We will hold Open House and our Title I Parent Meeting on the first Thursday of school. Each grade level has their own time.  PreK at 5:30; 2nd grade at 6:00; 1st grade at 6:45 and Kindergarten at 7:30 in the classrooms.

Please see the information below for upcoming events and back to school information.
